About Me
I'm a college student. Sometimes I study. Sometimes I don't need to. I always do my homework. Sometimes I look for extra credit.
I'm a professional filmmaker. Seriously, I actually get people to pay me.
I am an avid film fan. I mean it, total nutcase for the cinema. Too much of my brain is dedicated to Robert Altman's use of the zoom lens and Cassavetes improvisational style. Don't get me started on Scorsese's religious imagery.
I am an avid reader. I'll give just about anything a shot, but that doesn't mean my tastes aren't discerning. Favorite authors include Hemingway, Steinbeck, Salinger, Dumas, Nick Hornby, Orwell, TS Elliot Walt Whitman and recently, Slyvia Plath.
I am an avid writer. I write everyday, whether it be in a journal or a poem or a piece of a short story, I make sure to keep practice. I'm not prolific (yet) but in time I hope to be.
I like stand up comedy. Bill Hicks is a god. Carlin, Miller, Carolla, Fitzsimmons, Patton Oswalt, and the list goes on.
I like old music more than new music. I'm sadly out of touch with much of today's pop music. I like rock and roll, r and b, soul, surf, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Supremes, Aerosmith, Springsteen, The Kinks, Cat Stevens (before the whole Yusaf Islam thing), and especially Elton John.
I'm into theater. I've had two plays performed (and not for class, for real). I enjoy writing and directing and occasional acting.
I study journalism, film, theater, history, and literature very studiously in my free time (which is becoming less and less frequent alas).
I love to talk and I'm not too shy, just reserved. Feel free to ask me anything. Be forewarned, years as a journalist has trained me to ask a lot of questions and I sometimes slip into 'journalism mode' if you're really interesting me.

I'm looking for a creative intellectual, a fun, funny, witty, sharp, hardworking, creative girl who is outgoing. I like girls who like to read, write, talk shop, watch movies, have conversations about them etc.
