About Me
I'm the type of guy that the old adage "don't judge a book by it's cover" fits to a T. At first glance I come across as a biker or maybe a bouncer, it's when you get to know me you find out that I'm a gentle soul that works w/ my hands, who's in my glory raising my kids, cooking for a crowd, taking the neighbor kids fishing out back and or coaching the local little league team. I loved being a single father of 3 and all that it entailed. Now however my last one has left for college and I made the mistake of teaching him how to do his laundry so he doesn't come home as often as he could. I'm suffering from "empty nest syndrome" and I would like have someone to get on w/ my life with. It's time for me to actually do something for me, don't you think?
What I'm Looking For
The type of person that I'm looking to have a relationship with shouldn't be perfect. As a matter of fact I would prefer someone with a few flaws. Perfect is too boring, no challenge. Considering the fact that I'm far from perfect, myself, how could I ask anyone else to be?The type of person that I’m looking for needs to be her own person, first and foremost. So now that the kids are gone I really don’t have a clue as to what to do w/ all my spare time??? The time I feel I want to spend w/ someone needs to be quality time. I think this all should be a give and take kind of thing, not just a give give or a take take. Don’t get me wrong, if I’m in a relationship with someone they are my priority, but she needs to know I do have other commitments also, my family, community and work are high on that list too. I’ve learned that life is a complex balancing act and because of that I’ve become a juggler who knows how to walk a tightrope, while keeping 4 balls in the air, and chewing gum at the same time. (most of the time LOL)
So if you are your own person, independent, and don’t need someone to hold your hand 24-7 we should talk. If you love to be spoiled on occasion, enjoy gourmet cooking, back rubs, we can talk too. If you like jazz and r and b music, movies, antiquing and fit in well, in a pre-made empty-nest family situation, drop me a line. If it's not your cup of tea, good luck in your search for happiness. And who knows, someday you might want to consider dropping me a note even if all you want to do is just talk, that would be OK. I’ve learned that I should never say never, because I never know what might happen out there in this big old crazy world of ours
