About Me
I'm easy going and can get along with just about anyone. I'm down to earth and can be a bit of a smart ass (but in a nice way). I'm not into playing games.
I'm usually up for just about anything but I am afraid of heights. I think it stems from when I was about 5 years old and my brother zipped me up in a sleeping bag and held me over the second story bannister, but I may be over-analyzing ....
Some of my favorite things to do are: anything in, on or near water (fishing, boating, swimming, etc.); board games, card games (for either money or for fun), shooting guns (I earned an expert badge when I was in the military), going to the races or demolition derby; comedy clubs, and so on. I also like to watch football (bonus points for that, right?).
I have two boys - one is 21 and the other is 18. They are great kids- respectful, helpful and sweet- and I love them dearly. Anyone raising kids that are around this age knows it’s not all rainbows and sunshine, but there aren’t too many cloudy days either, so I guess I’ve been lucky there.
I'm a special ed teacher and absolutely LOVE what I do. It’s nice to come home from work every day and feel like I accomplished something worthwhile.
Anyway, I'm a nice gal who also happens to be smart, spontaneous, and upbeat. I'm not a drama queen and am pretty low-maintenance. I'm a "rip the band-aid off" kind of person in that I'd rather just meet someone to see if we are compatible rather than e-mail back and forth for a long time. Oh, and I like men with manners, so if you are a gentleman who is kindhearted and down to earth, I'd love to hear from you….

What I'm Looking For
Someone asked me recently what I was looking for in a man. That's a hard question to answer unless I just start listing qualities... but I've found that my "list" is just a bunch of hooey - the list goes out the window when you meet someone. You either connect, or you don't, and most times the things that make or break a connection are not even on the list.
