About Me
I enjoy spending my time hanging out with my friends and those close to me. Watching movies, playing games, just hanging out in general. I like a good PC ot console game, and enjoy a good board game or card game too. I enjoy living my life with someone to share it with.
I've been really enjoying practicing with my guitar lately. Schecter Damien-FR drop-tuned to C makes for some great music. I also really like taking my '79 Harley Davidson Sportster out when I can. Sadly it's out of commission right now, needs new calipers :/
My goals are to one day settle down and have a nice enough job to provide for a family. That is pretty far from today but it's my goal. Short-term I'm looking for someone to pick up the pieces with after a nasty separation. Just someone to meet, befriend, and ideally become intimate with. Intimacy and sexuality are pretty important to me. Don't take that the wrong way - they're not everything but I've got to be able to have that emotional bond and closeness for everything else with that someone.
As far as the present goes, I'm a .NET developer working out of Urbandale area. I've got a pretty nice job, which I wouldn't have were it not for a ton of determination and skill. I busted my *** to get where I am in life and am pretty proud of the result. The best part is, it only goes up from here.
I'm one of those few people who would do anything for those he cares about. I never give up in life and will fight to the bitter end for the things and people I care about. I'm a pretty smart guy, dorky and funny, who can almost always find the bright in things. I love spending my time with friends, and would love to meet someone who can be not just a great friend but a great passionate lover too.
As far as music goes I listen to a bit of everything. I've got my heavy/death metal days (Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Slipknot), the always-welcome Disturbed, some trance/techno like Pendulum, Prodigy, Infected Mushroom, etc., Mudvayne and Breaking Benjamin are always welcome, Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory and Meteora albums are great.
Nightwish is great, I love their mix of melody and metal. Shadows Fall and Ram-Zet for the same reasons. One Republic is pretty good. I can thoroughly appreciate the classics like Styx, Queen, Metallica, Nirvana, so on. And I can still enjoy some light listening with Trapt, Muse, and other rock.
TV-wise, I -love- Stargate SG-1. I was never really a fan of Atlantis, but Stargate Universe has enthralled me. House MD is my next favorite show. I can almost always enjoy a good comedy or sci-fi.
What I'm Looking For
I'm wanting to meet new, exciting people in the Ankeny / DSM area to hang out with, and maybe start a relationship with. I really want to make friends and meet people and I'd also like a relationship a lot.
