About Me
I am an artist and a high school art teacher who loves helping kids. I am not shy. I stand in front of a classroom full to teens each day and try to teach them something while they have their ear buds out. I usually take rude behavior with an attitude of indifference and I do have eyes in the back of my head. It all goes with the job, 21 years an educator.
I didn't marry until I was 40 years old and it lasted 16 years. I guess, now days that is pretty good. I wasn't raised that way though; my parents were married until my father died. Someday, I hope to find a love where two people could be so deeply in love and totally devoted to each other. I was pretty independent to wait so long to take the plunge but I learned about myself through that experience and I know now what I want from a relationship. I am a giving, loving soul but it needs to be a two way street. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking and photography and I also enjoy my time painting in my studio, meditating and checking out the internet and a good movie. I care about animal protection issues and the environment.
I firmly believe that we are here on this earth to take responsibility for ourselves. I am not looking for someone to take care of me financially. If anything, in these trying times, people need to work together to survive.
