About Me
Heeeyyyy! The name's Joey "Apples" Meli, resident goofball, rapper, writer, and gamer of Concord, NH. I love meeting new people, hanging out with friends, and just having a grand old time. I've learned to appreciate people more than material possessions over the years... yeah, it's nice to have a PS3, but will that device have your back in the worst of times? HA! I think not! Anyway, you're probably wondering where I got the titles I've bestowed upon myself in the second sentence. So a brief explanation of each will follow!
goofball: Humor to me is important beyond words. If I didn't have my sense of humor, I'd be rendered completely incapable of coping with any situation.
rapper: I suppose I owe an explanation for this one, eh? Well, in May 2011, I wrote, composed, recorded and produced a rap album entitled C'mon, Party People as the alternative rap persona "Emcee Apples." Don't believe me? Do a Google search for Emcee Apples, you'll find many links to my godawful music there. Though the music itself won't win any Grammys, or any awards in general for that matter, I had so much fun during the process that I fully intend on a follow-up album to Emcee Apples' debut in 2012.
writer: Writing seems to be my strong suit out of all these categories; I've written over 50 poems/songs in the past two years, all of which were included in my aforementioned album or have been posted on Facebook for my friends to view. Along with the poetry/songs, I've written several short stories and am currently working on a novel.
gamer: Not only do I play video games, but, believe it or not, I'm an independent video game developer as well. Unfortunately, this aspect of my creative muse seems to be the least willing to finish a project; hence, aside from a couple of shitty fangames/minigames on Mario Fan Games Galaxy (none of which have been posted within the last 2 years), no indie games published by myself exist on the Internet.
What I'm Looking For
I'm looking for someone sweet and awesome to befriend, and hopefully we'll become more. Body type, race, and appearance are not really important factors for me.
