About Me
Hi there! Here goes...
I'm an easy-going woman looking for an easy-going man. I enjoy quiet nights at home curled up with a good book and a fire. Too bad I have no fireplace. Good books are exceedingly rare these days, as well. So, I spend most of my time studying. I have some great friends and wonderful dogs. Well, I think they're wonderful. They're mostly much too rambunctious for their own damned goods. They remind me to be happy, so I keep them around.
I'm a curvy woman, rather like a prehistoric fertility goddess or a model for Ruben, and don't intend to change that. I need a man who won't hold that against me, or try to change me. I've been through that before. In return, I will take my man as he is. Attraction, for me, at least, comes from the inside out. It's that simple.
My eyes are a great green, my hair is wavy, long-ish (past my shoulder blades), and light brown, and I'm 5'8" tall.
I do enjoy the occasional walks with the dogs or hike in the woods. I'd love to eventually get back into horseback riding. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of camping and fishing with my dad, and I still enjoy the time I spend in the wild. Of course, I'm terribly allergic to MI bugs, so I need lots of deet and citronella candles to go camping in the summertime.
I admire a man who is well-spoken and well-read. I abhor textspeak. Literacy is a gift and a privilege, cherish it.
News and politics intrigue me. I spend most Sunday mornings watching the talking heads, yelling at them over one thing or another. I'm a fiscally conservative socialist, so I disagree with just about every politician under the sun. It's fun, trust me.
What I'm Looking For
As I stated above, I'm not really into choosing a mate based on looks alone. I've dated men shorter and squatter than me, tall and muscular, and your average beanpole. Dark, blond, red, whatever. Bald works, too. Do whatever you want with your facial hair- a bit of scruffiness is nice on a Sunday morning, but if you're into being clean-shaven, more power to you. Hmmm, yeah, personality. That's what's actually important. Have one! Be able to coherently support your arguments. Read a book once in a while.
I'm really just as laid back as I say I am. If you're interesting and interested in me, we'll get along fine.
