About Me
I have been divorced over 20 years and I am independent, but I am happier when sharing my life with someone. I have a full life with a close family and many friends, but I'm missing that special someone. My children are grown, married, and self-supporting. I do not date people who smoke or do drugs. I am laid back and do not like drama. I like old-fashioned men who know how to treat a lady, but I don't mind getting dirty occasionally, like on a camping trip! I like being with my man and by his side. I'll do things you like just to be with you and in your company. I love public displays of affection and you will know I care about you when we are together. Right now, I am seeking a career change with a new Master's Degree, while still working the same job I have had for 25 years. I love the outdoors and would spend all of my free time outdoors if I could. I love to hike, and I used to backpack but have not done that much lately. When my son was a teenager, we once spent a week backpacking on a volunteer vacation and performed trail maintenance. I like adventure sports, my latest being the zip-line. I am in a baton-twirling group that performs in parades and charity functions around the Atlanta area. Since I have just finished my Master's Degree, I have spent the greater part of the last couple of years reading and writing research papers! Lately, all I have been reading are textbooks since I have been in school. I am a news junkie and only watch a couple of shows regularly because I do not have much time for television. I love Mexican food, pizza, and seafood. My favorite authors are F. Scott Fitzgerald and John Grisham. I love most any kind of music, if it's good and especially when it's live. I tend to lean towards folksy, acoustic, bluegrass, etc. I especially like Alison Krauss and John Mayer.
I am looking for somebody smart, down to earth, no drama, balanced and centered, great sense of humor, etc. I most likely will not make the first contact on here, but I am polite and will respond to just about anybody. Nevertheless, if your profile is full of spelling and grammatical errors, we most likely will not work out: that is my pet peeve!
