About Me
Above all else I believe that life should be fun. Life is too short for worry and anxiety. I enjoy hanging out with my friends; going to live shows, going to movies, eating out, reading, writing, drawing, thrift store shopping, laughing and having a good time. I drink occasionally but I’m no alcoholic, and I know how to have fun. The things that motivate me are learning; knowledge, depth, character, creativity, self-expression, discovery, travel, new experiences, humor, communication, being understood, helping people, sensuality, sharing things I’ve discovered, enthusiasm, self-discovery, self-growth, overcoming life’s obstacles, spirituality music, literature and art.
My goals include traveling the world; working on myself, enjoying life to the fullest, making a nice home for myself, being an individual, and to be a responsible and loving adult. I've been told that I treat women very well; that I'm sweet, passionate, gentle and accepting. I like helping other people to feel good. I am far from perfect, but I'm committed to working on myself to become the best person I can. I’m looking for someone who can appreciate that and love and appreciate themselves as much as I will. I'm single, and I’ve never been married.
I like to laugh and make people laugh; I have an odd sense of humor that runs the gamut from observational to just plain filthy. My politics are liberal, and I want to be with someone with similar values. I know that who I am is not determined by what I do for a living, how much money I make, or what I own: I believe that true happiness is not found in material things. Following in that vein, I've been meditating off and on recently and I read a lot about Buddhism. I've been reading a lot of books on Punk Rock and Buddhism and Buddhist Punks. It's a weird little sub-genre that I've found to be quite enlightening.
I’m seeking someone who likes to explore and try new things; likes to learn and teach; and can show me new ways of looking at things. I love to talk and debate as well. What I'm Looking For
I'm looking for someone with a great sense of humor, a sense of fun and adventure. Someone who likes to talk, someone with a large vocabulary, who reads and has a wide range of interests. Someone who is just as comfortable hanging out at a sleazy dive bar as well as at a nice restaurant, or museum. Someone who likes thrift store shopping. Someone who appreciates all kinds of music. Someone whose politics lean to the left. Someone who has aspirations and goals similar to mine. Someone who believes that working on themselves is the most important thing that they can do and understands that true success is in knowing yourself and being yourself.
