About Me
Hello all, my name is Geoff. So, after reading through a lot of other peoples profiles and kind of getting the hang of the type of information people are looking for, I've decided to go a little more in depth about myself....
Career:
I am an IT Manager for a couple of construction companies in the DFW area. I LOVE my job but, I am NOT a workaholic :)
I would very much enjoy someone that has a career of some sort but, its not a determining factor, people are different...have different goals in life so I cant judge on that.
Education:
I have a Bachelors in IT Management that I finished a few years ago. I am planning on going back to College in the Spring for some continuing education stuff...Project Management (just incase anyone is Interested)
Again, education and intelligence are not mutually exclusive, if you dont have a degree or have never been to college I dont really care about that either. I have plenty of friends that have never gone to college and do quit well for themselves both career wise and in general smarts ;)
Life:
I spent a little over 7 years in the US Air Force, I have travelled all over the world. I have been to places I still dream about as well as places I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to go. I've owned a home and sold it, I've been married and divorced, I have a child whom I love very much, been through very rough times and times so good that it felt almost like a dream.
Family and Friends:
Yes, I have them :) Although, the only family that I have in the area is my son. The rest of my family lives in Florida (im from FL) so I do not get to see them very often...maybe 1-2 times a year if I am lucky. I have a good group of friends here in the area but, I dont get to see them as often as I would like. I would love to meet more people in the area that are interested in doing more than going to clubs/bars and getting wasted...all those things are fun and well but, there are PLENTY of other cool things to do in the city besides that.
Relationships:
Like I said above, I've been married and divorced. I spent the better half of my adult life with the same woman, we are still very much friends but dont take that for ANY more than what it is. We both have our own lives going now but still share the responsibility of raising our child. Im in no way looking for her replacement because what we had obviously didn't work so, im looking for someone that is good for me as well as I am for her.
To be completely honest, I dont want to list all the wants and dont wants that I am looking for, I think people that define everything that they are looking for without leaving room for the variables in life limit their own ability to find love...not a very well thought out plan for finding someone when you cut everyone else out but the 1% that MAY fit your profile. Its a give and take, not everyone is perfect INCLUDING myself, focus on the things that are most important to you and let fate take the rest.
Me:
Im friendly, generally trusting, clean and neat ;), work hard for what I want, financially responsible, love learning new things, very interested in travelling more around the world, love going to concerts, bowling, movies, dinner, live sporting events, zoo, aquarium, museums, going to lakes and jet skiing is definitely fun as well. I do NOT typically go out and party (and I use the word party loosely) unless its for some special occasion, have a Mini Aussie named Sydney, and.....I guess thats it for now :)
