About Me
I like driving around with the music blasting, or sitting around with a good friend and a glass or two, with music in the background.
I like crying over sad songs/movies/books, laughing at observational humour - like Carl Baron: HE RULES :) or just plain stupidity like Monty Python or Rowan Atkinson. I also love my daughter and foster-sons' quirkiness - some of the things they say have me laughing fit to burst.
I hate dishonesty, manipulation, control and those who try and influence people with their way of thinking. Personal opinion is exactly that and all of us are entitled to it.
I don't play games and would rather share a joke than bother with pretentiousness or trying to impress people.
I write in my spare time - when muse is willing - have been known to paint, but haven't picked up a brush for years, love doing yardwork and getting my hands dirty. I like to achieve something every day, even if it is a REALLY long nanna-nap sometimes :)
My least favourite sayings are:
1. "You've got too much time on your hands" when it's levelled at someone who's done something creative in their spare time. Must we all be busy being busy or thinking we should be busy doing things we really don't want to do all the time? Life's too short.
2. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger". As true as I accept that to be, I'd still like to kill the one who first said that.
What I'm Looking For
I want someone who's good to talk to and isn't pretending to be something they're not. I'd like to connect with someone (much as I hate that term due to it being bandied about too much these days) but I believe a good connection brings chemistry. If I/we have to try hard to have a conversation, well, that'd be it!
Am not interested in online "booty" calls, so if that's what you want, please don't bother.
