About Me
I grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and now live in the mtns of Colorado. I have a 14 yr old daughter who lives with me and 2 grown sons. I am an outgoing, free-spirited, passionate person who loves life and the outdoors. I love football (Saints and LSU), fishing, scuba diving, camping, hiking, trips to the city now and then to do the "city thing" (museums, concerts, amusements parks, etc.), travel, and anything fun. I love music, just about any kind..love acoustic guitar. My fav. food without a doubt is cajun! I love good wine and sitting by a fireplace or an outdoor fire. I like Italian, Mexican, Chinese and steak. I went to LSU years ago and just transferred to college here, majoring in criminal justice. I plan to work with juvenile probation or as a child advocate. I love kids and relate very well to them. Oh, and I love good coffee and beignets (a Louisiana thing), see if you know what that is :o)....w/o looking it up online..if you know what that is, you will know the best place on earth to get them!
I like positive, upbeat people who embrace life and don't sweat the small stuff. I never imagined myself to even use one if these sites but it's a cool way to meet people...if you are here to prey on women for some selfish gain or you like playing games, don't bother me please, don't have the energy for it and won't settle for it. I do not look or act my age...I am very young spirited, spontaneous and don't want to be around anyone who isn't upbeat. I like to be active and have fun.
I don't "need" a man to be ok with who I am, I'm proud of who I am and what I've accomplished in my life and would like to hang out with a man who respects that and supports me. I've dealt with the insecure needy types and I'm not dealing with it. I am very big-hearted and giving, but I'm not wearing myself out trying to build up the self esteem of someone who has none. Been there, done that..not going there again. It's all about lifting each other up and encouraging each other.
Even though I don't "need" a man to be ok with me, I am self confident but I want to pursue a close friendship and relationship because there is nothing better than being in a positive, warm, mutually giving, loving, fun relationship with someone special. I believe that kind of relationship enhances my life and makes me a happier person. I would love to enrich my man's life too and I am very dedicated to the man who deserves it.
