About Me
I'm a pretty easy going kinda guy. I take most things in stride, but I do have certain passions that let you know I have a heart and a soul. Integrity is of utmost importance in how I conduct myself, and that umbrella covers respect and consideration for others. I like to have fun, and I'm sure people would tell you I need to grow up, but I disagree. They need to grow down!
I enjoy all sorts of things, except for Winter activities. Hate the cold. LOVE the Summer, the beach, being able to ride my bicycle down the rail-trails. I bowl okay, shoot a decent game of pool (holy crap, I'm Fred Flintstone!) Love the movies. I grew up in Brooklyn, so I enjoy the city, although I do feel like a tourist since having moved to NJ 26 years ago.
I have a 16 year old teenaged daughter who thinks the world of me. Well, she actually thinks I'm from another planet, but I took the liberty. She's a great kid, but she has yet to realize it, and even though she plugs her ears with her headphones and texts until the cows come home, I can't ever get enough time with her.
I read, mostly fiction. My musical tastes are scattered, from classic rock to jazz to Zydeco to 40's swing. There's very little music I won't listen to, and that includes opera, rap/hip-hop and whatever else falls into that category these days, and most country, although some of the old stuff, like Patsy Cline, is pretty good.
What I'm Looking For
I would be thrilled to find someone with a similar outlook on life, a woman who can rant about things close to her heart, but allows the pettiness of life to roll off her back. A woman who leans to the left, puts her best foot forward, knows what's right and never leaves her self respect behind.
