About Me
First and foremost, I'm a huge nerd who is easygoing; I don't take myself too seriously. I love all of the romantic things: cuddling, holdings hands, going on dates, going for walks and talking, you name it. I have had my heart broken a few times, but I'm not giving up. I never thought I'd try online dating, because I've never had trouble meeting people, but I just haven't found the right girl yet, so I might as well broaden my horizons. ;) I want to find someone who can make me happy, and who likes me for who I am. I'm not like most guys who are shallow; I enjoy forming meaningful and lasting relationships. So with that being said, here is a little more about me.
I recently graduated from NDSU, and I received a B.S. in Psychology. I plan on being in graduate school starting the fall semester of 2011. I currently work for NDSU's Psychology department where I run studies, aggregate data for analyses, write for journal publications, and help teach an introductory psychology course (I love the nerdy stuff). My academic goal entails earning a Ph.D. in Social Psychology.
I aspire to become a professor at a university where I can conduct research, teach, and serve as a mentor for students. I have a passion for helping out society in any way I can, and hopefully my research will be a vessel through which I can achieve that. I think education is a very important field; mentoring students is something I am looking forward to. I want to be able to connect significant material and stimulate ideas through students' minds and thoughts.
I'm very friendly, intelligent, outgoing, talkative, romantic, funny, and nice; I am a sweetheart who truly enjoys getting to know people through stimulating conversation. My optimal personality trait is my ability to carry on a conversation with anyone, and to brighten up their day. I'm very driven in life, and I know what I want to do with it. I want to maintain my academic job, and someday reach a tenure status. I would love to start a family and have children someday as well (these two things are the most important goals in my life). I love my family and friends very much, and they are very important to me. I have one sister who just got married, and I couldn't be happier for her!
Several activities I enjoy are: running (I run every day which sometimes serves as a catharsis to relieve stress), lifting weights, hanging out with friends, sports, partying, reading, writing, listening to music, and sometimes just being lazy and watching movies. Again, I love my family and friends very much, and they are very important to me.
