About Me
\My name is Joseph Petro and I’m a 25 year old single father. I am attending Marywood University in Scranton, Pa to obtain my Masters in Broadcast Journalism and minors in digital media and photography. I own my own photography and graphic design company, LongShot Photography. As a former musician I have gained a large following with the local music community for my band photography.
My philosophy in life is to enjoy life to the fullest and enjoy the world around us. I am very spontaneous, so if you’re not up for an adventure or two then maybe I’m not what you’re looking for. As a writer I am very careful of he words I use but, in person I am very outgoing and fun loving. Although I am very frivolous I have my priorities in order and know what holds the most importance in my life.
What I'm Looking For
On most nights I’m buried in a school book or hanging around the house trying to find a good movie to watch. However, I occasionally visit the local bar or night club to partake in some antics. Considering my job I spend a great deal of time in bars photographing patrons and bands to promote them so, I try to mix things up to have fun.
If you were to ask me my favorite band or song I would most likely smirk and shrug. The main reason for this is because of all the bands I have photographed and the bands I have played on Marywood’s radio station VMFM 91.7 where I am a DJ and the station manager. I spend a great deal of time with my 4 month year old son Liam.
I believe that laughter is very important in any relationship whether it be romantic or plutonic. Some may call me a hopeless romantic or an old soul. I believe that women should be treated with respect, dignity, and told frequently how special they are. I’m not the type of person to say I’ll call and never call. This brings me to my next point, honesty and loyalty is a must with me. I am very trusting and believe you are these qualities unless you give me a reason to question them.
Not to go off in a rant but, people in this day and age focus too much on the superficial qualities and not enough on the personality. Thank you consumerism and airbrushed magazines! I believe that in the long run personality trumps vanity anytime. To really get to know a person you need to make a connection before you focus on the superficial or honestly it won’t last long.
