About Me
Hi! My name is Vernon and I have lived in the Newark, Delaware area all of my life. I am a laid-back man that enjoys concerts, comedy clubs, playing, writing, teaching & performing music, in a band setting. I play guitar (rhythm & lead)in a local band, (DE, MD, PA). Playing guitar is the only time I feel totally free. I have a few goals in mind such as writing and producing an entire CD of original music. My tastes run from Bryan Adams to AC/DC and even some of the older 70's bands like Chicago, James Taylor, Journey, Johnny Winter, and Peter Frampton.
I also enjoy comedy clubs and seeing a live comedy show. My favorite comedians are Lewis Black, Steven Wright, Ron White, Ellen DeGenneres, and Basil.
I'm the kind of man that, if we happen to be out shopping, and if you see something you like, but don't buy it, for whatever reason, That special something - sticks in my head and probably just when you have may have forgotten about it, I get " that special something " for you. I'm also the guy that remembers " the little things ". the details about you, that make YOU, YOU!. I'm the guy who likes to do THOUGHTFUL THINGS for you, and I like to, if the occasion is right, surprise you, by doing something fun, spontaneous!. I'M THAT KIND OF GUY!. The man who wants to make you happy, not for me, for you. Some of these things could fall into that area of " SPECIAL CHEMISTRY ". I am on this site, to find someone that I can connect with, and hopefully WE can find that " Special Chemistry ".

What I’m doing with my life:
I have most been recently playing rhythm and lead guitar in bands for the last 2 years, after a 25 year layoff from the music busines. The only time I feel totally free is when I am playing & performing for an audience.
I am also grieving hard over the loss of my 20 year old son who died on December 12th, 2009. If you can't deal with that, save yourself some time and move one.
I am in the process of a divorce after a 25 year marriage. I have finanical responsibillities and my 20 year old daughter comes first above anything else. I have moved in with my parents to payoff debts and try to put my life back together.

I’m really good at I consider myself a very good listener and like to stay positive, especially when faced with adversity. I'd also like to think myself very good at carrying a good conversation. I am also, for an amateur, a fairly good woodworker and mechanic. I'd also consider myself very considerate of a woman, especially in the area of intimacy.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite type of TV shows are police/crime shows and really "well-written comedies. I haven"t read any good books lately, but I like biographies and non-fictional stories. My favorite type of food is Italian and I also enjoy cooking, mainly american type foods. My musical interests range from 70's music to rock artists like Bryan Adams all the way to AC/DC, and let's not forget great blues and blues guitarist.
The six things I could never do without:
I'd rather say that the six things that I don't think I can do without is Love/Intimacy, music, close friends, good food, my children, and someone to share the good times with. .
I spend alot of time thinking about how proud I am of my daughter and son..
On a typical Friday night I am playing music with friends. I also like to go out for an informal dinner with a social drink (mainly wine) and either see a band that I really enjoy or see a few of my friend's bands
The most private thing I’m willing to admit:
Well it wouldn't be private anymore, if I'm willing to admit it for all the Internet to see, would it? I only will discuss something that private, if I meet someone on this website, and feel that I am comfortable with the other person.
