About Me
First off I'm not a big fan of these things. Its hard to write about yourself and not say something that every other person on here says about themselves. I mean, I'm just like everyone else: I inherited millions from a mysterious uncle I never met, spent a couple of years in Tibet studying under the Dalai Lama, and I'm from somewhere in the Andromeda galaxy. Oh, I'm also last of the time lords. Kudos to anyone who got that reference. You're half-way to my heart already.
But seriously. I'm a pretty light hearted guy - and I'm very versatile. I can adapt to pretty much any situation - and I'm very low maintenance. My friends tell me I'm hilarious - I'd like to think I crack a pretty good joke every now and then. I'm a goofball - but I'm also very serious when its appropriate. I shift between both modes pretty smoothly - and no subject matter really makes me uncomfortable.
I love to talk about anything evoking. I love literature, politics, religion - anything that can give you a window into how another person feels and any subject that a lot of people might shy away from. These things fascinate me - and I can talk about them for hours. I'm agnostic, but very spiritual, and I don't mind what religion you are as long as you respect other peoples' and don't mind talking about it.
I'm a great listener (I often play the part of the therapist to my friends). I'm told I have the gift of the gab too. I love to tell stories and anectdotes. You won't have an extended conversation with me without me at least once bringing up a story. My mother is an actress so I guess I pick up a lot of that skill when I talk to people.
I love to write. I don't know how good I am at that (and don't worry I won't make you read journals full of bad poetry - at least not on the first date anyway) but I enjoy it.
I also love the outdoors. I used to hike frequently when I lived near Kennesaw Mountain, and every once and a while I get a chance to hike in a park near my college. I work at a summer camp in the summers and we do lots of OLS and camping stuff - which I completely eat up.
But these sort of things don't do a person justice. Send me a message! You'll figure out who I really am, and see if you're interested. I promise I won't be a jerk.
What I'm Looking For
Its hard to say who exactly I'm looking for. I'm not picky, and I'm pretty versatile. Right now I'm focusing on dating a guy. Its kind of hard to come by them in my college town (at least ones that are out).
I like to think of myself as an intellectual - but I'm definitely not pompous and snooty. So I'd like a dude who can be a dork most of the time but a philosopher when its the right time. I'm really just looking for a bud, and seeing where things go from there. I like to approach dating that way - as if I'm meeting a new friend and the relationship grows from there.
So really I'm looking for a guy who's friendly and thoughtful. Everything else I'm perfectly happy to be surprised by. I'm not picky. =D
