About Me
I'm a full-time student at ASU studying Italian and linguistics. This does not make me multi-lingual, though I wish it did. I'd like to have mastered at least up to the various subjunctive cases in multiple languages. What's more interesting to me lately, though, is the brain's roll in language. The psychological cues woven into verbal as well as gestural language. What it means to our investment in certain social ties when we respond to one email immediately but then wait hours to even read another. Tied with the psychological aspect of it is, of course, the neurological component. What happens in our brains when language is in use? What happens to our language when certain areas of our brains show trauma? How will we be different? Why? I'm learning the answers to these questions daily and every time I think I have heard the most fascinating bit of information ever, it's topped within minutes by something else.
What I'm Looking For
I am looking to have fun. Quiet fun, loud fun, sit and stare at the stars fun. Simply have a wonderful online conversation fun. Maybe we meet. Maybe we don't. I'm not afraid to make the first move, but I'm also not ashamed to say that I usually don't. The first move to get this past the screen and onto a couch in a coffee shop or a stool in a bar somewhere, that is. If you want to meet me in person, tell me so. The reason I rarely bring it up first is because I'm super lame and don't know any cool places to meet up. So enlighten me. Teach me. I shall be your pupil.
